The freeware PmaCalculator (right) is a very versatile desktop calculator for daily general, technical and scientific use. The mouse operated calculator comes with lots of functions under five tabs: Calc, Binary, Binary II, Converter and Units.
Hewlett-Packard Comp. donated the emulation of its famous programmable HP-41CX scientific calculator to the public domain. The 41CX lets you choose from three sizes on your display: small, medium and large. Instruction manual under Help. User code can be saved.
Bcalc is not a common scientific calculator but one that approaches digitally the infinite precision of the slide rule. Bcalc performs all kinds of calculations up to a maximum of 5011 digits following the decimal point. The precision of digits can be choosen from a list: 91, 151, 211, 331, 1051, 2011 of 5011. There is also a built-in conversion table useful as constants. Freeware.
